Xiaomi just announced the release of Xiaomi Mi 8. The phone is on three alluring types, there is the regular version, a cheaper Mi 8 SE and a premium variant with a see through back and an in-house face ID solution, called Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer. The phone just arrived at all Mi designation stores world wide, as announced by the company, for $530.
The phone has a Qualcomm snapdragon 845 chipset, a RAM of 8GB, and an internal storage of 128GB (that’s massive !), although this is all you can get and no micro-SD slot included to its capacity. The screen is a whooping 6.21″ Super AMOLED panel with a cut out on top for selfie camera, speaker, and advanced facial recognition software, simply called Face ID. The screen enables the execution of an under-display finger-print scanner, making it the first Xiaomi phone with such a feature.
The back is also Awesome. There isn’t a sensor of any kind, and the panel is transparent, revealing all the internal intricacies of the phone, including the main board along with the Qualcomm snapdragon 845 chipset, and a 3000 mAh battery (well you can just expect to use this phone for more hours).
It runs on MIUI 9.5 out of the box, based on an Android Oreo, but would sooner than later switch to a MIUI 10.
