WhatsApp have released a new update for iOS App. The new update came with a screen lock feature. The recent update will allow users to lock the App with Face ID or Touch ID.
If you want to activate the feature, go to settings > Account > Privacy and enable screen lock. You can use either the newer Face ID method or the old Touch ID depending on your phone.
One of the advantages of this is that it will lock the entire App behind your authorization system and it will only permit those authorized to unlock the phone to unlock the app. Even though it does not allow you to lock selected chats within the App yet but this App wide lock method seems to be a nice feature.
You can download the update in the App store.
